What to Expect
Notification of Denial or Acceptance of Grant Request
Following the thorough review of all applications, every applicant will be promptly notified regarding the status of their request—whether it has been accepted for further consideration of a grant award or if we are regrettably unable to move forward at that time.
Priorities & Process
In our commitment to maximizing community impact, particular consideration will be given to applications that excel in the following critical areas:
- Program Strength: The demonstrated seriousness of the identified problem and the robust, well-conceived nature of the proposed program or project action.
- Organizational Capacity: The proven capability of the organization and its personnel to efficiently achieve the expected, positive results.
- Community Benefit: The significant degree of potential, transformative benefit the project offers to the community we serve.
After a review and discussion of all grant requests, the Grants Committee will present to the Foundation Board of Directors an assessment of all applications recommended for funding. Even though a project meets established criteria, it may not be selected because of limited funds or other reasons.
The Board of Directors makes the final determination on all grant requests.
Grant Awards
Once a grant request is approved by our Board, the selected organization will be notified. The specific amount of the grant will be determined as a direct result of our successful fundraising.
Recipients are required to sign a Grant Agreement Letter which details the responsibilities of the recipient organization. Grant checks will be distributed in March.
Grant recipients are required to complete a Grant Accountability Report detailing how their Grant Award was spent and measured against projected goals.
